Overview

What is it?
Tenacious Change is about making a collective impact that lasts because it is achieved by the community, for the community, and with the community. It is a way of organizing and working together to solve complex social problems through collective leadership, community engagement, and coordinated action. 
 What does it do? 
Tenacious Change is a strategy that can help to improve community life on a variety of issues, including, but not limited to:
  • In the time of COVID-19, building community will to engage in virus reduction by participating in public health efforts such as social distancing, testing, and, when available, vaccination
  • Reduction of homelessness
  • Prevention of alcohol or drug abuse
  • Improvement of high school completion
  • Teen or unplanned pregnancy prevention 
  • Reducing HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infection rates
  • Bullying prevention
  • Gun violence reduction and prevention
Tenacious Change is positive community change that is resistant to snapping back to the way things were before. 
Tenacious Change begins with a diverse collaboration of community change makers. They come together to collectively lead change on social and health issues, challenges, and problems impacting their community. Tenacious Change is committed to creating change with community members who are most impacted by the problem.  ​
